Teacher Shoutout! Learning can be Sweet

In science class, Mr. Nick had students explore the moon phases and how the moon impacts Earth through a creative, hands-on assignment that made learning both fun and memorable. As part of the lesson, students used Oreo cookies to model the moon's phases, identifying each stage of the lunar cycle along the way. This interactive project helped bring abstract concepts to life while keeping students fully engaged. Activities like this not only deepen understanding but also add joy to learning, especially as an exciting way to stay focused and curios just before a school break.

Students Take the Lead

At our school, learning is student-driven and student-centered. Classrooms are intentionally designed as spaces where students take the lead, teaching one another, asking meaningful questions, and sharing their thinking with confidence. Whether presenting ideas, guiding group discussions, supporting peer, or even leading the class in lessons, students are empowered to take ownership of their education. By celebrating all forms of success and honoring each student's voice, we create a learning community where leadership is nurtured, curiosity is valued, and every student is seen as both a learner and a teacher.

Spirit Week Spotlight: Twin Day

One of the highlights of our most recent Spirit Week was Twin Day, when students, and even staff, teamed up to dress alike and show off their school spirit. From matching outfits among friends to teachers, like Mr. Nick and Mr. Keegan, joining in the fun, Twin Day brought laughter, creativity, and connection to our campus. Moments like these go beyond fun, they help strengthen relationships, build a sense of belonging, and remind our students that school is a community where everyone is invited to participate. Spirit Week celebrations like Twin Day help create a positive, inclusive culture that supports both joy and learning.
